Collector e-Friends
| Through buying and selling on eBay over the years I’ve become aware that worldwide there are many collectors of old teddies ,soft toys, dolls etc. who live in very remote places and don’t have the opportunity to make contact with other like-minded people. There are people lucky enough to live in areas where the number of collectors is high. This means they can form clubs and hold regular meetings, also because of the interest there is a greater likelihood of doll and teddy fairs happening in those areas. |
| I myself live in an out-of-the-way place where there are few collectors so I have to travel quite a way to fairs but nothing compared to say collectors living in remote parts of Canada to whom eBay has been of enormous help. |

It has been suggested to me that I could use my website to help people get in touch with each other by email and become ‘Collector e-friends’ similar to ‘Penpals’. I like to see other people’s collections and compare notes and it can also increase your knowledge as well as making new friends. Unfortunately there is always the language barrier but perhaps through this it can also help people to learn the rudiments of a new language. |
